“Great is Thy faithfulness!” “Great is Thy faithfulness!”
Morning by morning new mercies I see;
All I have needed Thy hand hath provided—
“Great is Thy faithfulness,” Lord, unto me!
The above lyrics pretty much sum up my year 2017! Never have I known, I mean really known on a personal spiritual level the faithfulness of God, as I have in this year. And for this reason, allow me to glorify Abba in this post.
For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.
Romans 8:14(KJV)
When I resigned from my job in 2016, I walked straight into a business I had no business walking into ( this is a story all on its own). I knew I had made an error in the path I had ventured into, but I did not know how to exit. I did not know who to go to for guidance…because…well when the Lord grants me permission to share this chapter of my life, you shall understand why there really was no-one for me to turn to. I felt so alone and dejected…I felt like a failure with no idea of how to rise up from the mess ( financial mess) I was in.
Through a series of events, I was introduced to the teachings of Kenneth Hagin. In his sermon, ‘ How to be Led by the Spirit,’ Romans 8:14 was etched into my spirit. I remember telling God in the month of August that I was not going to go right or left until He gave me direction because as His son, I was entitled to His leading. And oh my, did He direct! He closed the door of the wrong business and flung open the door of Mirror Wealth Coaching. He has grown this platform and allowed it to minister to individuals and couples . He has allowed me to see this platform change people’s lives. He has done so much in just 3.5 months, that I am in such awe and amazement…words fail to describe just how grateful I am for His leadership.
I saw heaven standing open and there before me was a white horse, whose rider is called Faithful and True. With justice he judges and makes war. His eyes are like blazing fire, and on his head are many crowns. He has a name written on him that no-one knows but he himself. He is dressed in a robe dipped in blood, and his name is the Word of God. The armies of heaven were following him, riding on white horses and dressed in fine linen, white and clean. Out of his mouth comes a sharp sword with which to strike down nations. “He will rule them with an iron scepter.” He treads the winepress of the fury of the wrath of God Almighty. On his robe and on his thigh he has this name written:
KING OF KINGS AND LORD OF LORDS.
Revelation 19:11-16 (NIV)
These verses! They changed my life! The magnificence, might and power of the Word of God displayed here…leave me speechless. When I grasped the truth that every time I sent forth a Word, that this was WHO I was sending! Let me tell you, I entered such rest knowing that truly no-one and nothing can challenge HIM! Whenever I saw something amiss in my life, I would speak the Word in the light of this revelation…and truly I would see His faithfulness.
But the Counsellor, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you all things and will remind you of everything I have said to you.
John 14:26(NIV)
I started writing on this platform in April of this year. And I have tried to release a post at least once a week. I have not always been successful at this, but at a minimum I have managed to release 3 posts per month. And if I am honest, I do not have that much wisdom or knowledge to have been able to do this. The only way this has been possible is because of the Holy Spirit!
I rely on Him every week to speak to just one person through the articles…and often times that 1 person is actually me! More often than not, He answers a lot of my questions through the posts I put out. He teaches me and uncovers to me such wisdom, I feel like a student enrolled in the ‘School of the Holy Spirit.’
His mother said to the servants, “Whatever He says to you, do it.”
John 2:5 (Amp)
This was the highlight sermon of my year. I do not even remember the name of the pastor who preached it…but oh my I will never forget this message. In summary, if you want to live a miraculous life, you must understand the precedence set in the first recorded miracle Christ carried out…and this is the precedence…whatever He tells you to do, do it! The blessings of God are received in the doing!
For he has rescued us from the dominion of darkness and brought us into the kingdom of the Son he loves, in whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins.
Colossians 1:13-14 (NIV)
This! I wrote about redemption …and this is the verse that birthed in me the desire to understand just what redemption meant for me. It is so freeing to know that I truly belong to the Father and that He alone has a say on how my life should go. No one and nothing else has this authority over my life..point blank period!
For this reason I kneel before the Father, from whom his whole family in heaven and on earth derives its name.
Ephesians 3:14-15 (NIV)
This verse just excites me. As a child of God, a member of His family, I carry His Name! Talk about name dropping…lol. Knowing that He has named me has given me such confidence in this year. I have an assurance that He is backing me up and therefore I am not afraid to go after what I know is mine.
I have brought you glory on earth by completing the work you gave me to do.
John 17:4 (NIV)
This is my most quoted verse and my prayer. At the end of the day, this is what matters. On the day I stand before Abba, I pray that just like Christ, just like Paul, I too will be able to say these words!
2017…it was because of Him. Him, who has given me a name, Him who stepped out of the pages of the Bible and walked right into my heart. Him, who has loved me with a love I cannot explain. Him, who has become more real to me than anything or anyone has. Him, who teaches me and leads me through this journey of life. Him, who has remained closer to me than any friend ever has or ever will. To Him, I say thank you! Thank you for never leaving me, never forsaking me. Thank you for being my everything and breathing your everything into me. Thank you for preserving me and cheering me up. Thank you for being my Provider and my gift giver. Your surprises are always everything to me! Thank you for just being You.
Once more I say, “Great is thy faithfulness!”
