My First Anniversary

Today I just want to thank God for His faithfulness. This time last year I posted my very first article on this website. I remember the flood of emotions that came over me…excitement, fear, anxiety, courage…I was a mess! Why? Because I am an introverted, reserved individual and I was consciously putting myself out there. I had no idea if anyone was even going to read it…and if they did read, would they come back for more? What if my articles sucked and had zero impact on people? What if I ran out of content? What if people loved it? What if…what if…what if..? And in as much as I had all these questions running marathons in my mind, I knew that I just had to press forward and do what I believed God was instructing me to do. My faith that I was walking in obedience to God outweighed my fear and one year later here we are. And oh boy, what a year it has been!

I had a fantasy about how Mirror Wealth Coaching would begin its journey. I spoke (and continue to speak) over it, I prayed ( and continue to pray) for it and towards the end of last year, it became my full time venture. But the fantasy I had in my head and the reality did not match. Unbeknownst to me I truly believed that once you identify and awaken to your calling, life would be a walk in the park. I thought my life would now be full of rainbows and marshmellows…and I would “make it big”…whatever that even means. The reality…eh! But even in this mismatch of fantasy and reality, I have so much to be grateful to God for. So here are just a few of the things I am grateful for a year down the line:

Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters,whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance.
James 1:2-3

I cannot believe I am saying this, but I am truly grateful for the many trials I have faced since beginning this journey. Obviously when I am going through the trials I am singing a different tune! But, when I look back, every trial has made me stronger. Every trial has strengthened my determination to bring glory to God by completing the work He has given me to do here on earth ( John 17:4 keeps me going!) Every trial has made me cling even more to God and every trial is helping to build my perserverance muscle!

Let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything.
James 1:4

Not only so, but we also glory in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; perseverance, character; and character, hope.
Romans 5:3-4

Clearly it has not been an easy year…😂😂 And like most people, I have been tempted to give up and go back to what I used to do. Full disclosure…I actually started the process of reverting to my previous career. I just wanted an easier, simpler life with an amazing salary. But deep inside, I knew this is the path that God has for me. He never said it was going to be an easy path…but He did say that He will never leave me. There is something about going through trials when you have the assurance that you are where God wants you to be. The trials, rather than destroy you, build you up and birth in you hope for the vision God has put in your heart.

Therefore go and make disciples of all nations,baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”
Matthew 28:18-20

Mirror Wealth Coaching has reached nations I never even dreamt possible. Through this platform, facebook and instagram, Mirror Wealth Coaching has gone beyond the borders of Kenya and to the US, Canada, India, Peru, UK, Brazil, Philippines, South Africa and Nigeria among many other nations! Who else but God can do this?

I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing.
John 15:5

Through the ‘My Wealth Journey’ program, I have seen firsthand the impact Mirror Wealth Coaching has had on people. I have seen it bear fruit in the lives of people. And to be honest, hearing these success stories has been a personal blessing to me. It is so amazing to know that God could trust and use me to make an impact on someone else!

But when he, the Spirit of truth, comes, he will guide you into all the truth. He will not speak on his own; he will speak only what he hears, and he will tell you what is yet to come. He will glorify me because it is from me that he will receive what he will make known to you.
John 16:13-14

Most of all, I am grateful to God for the Holy Spirit. The gift of Himself to me. He guides me, teaches me, helps me, loves me. He listens to me when I need to vent, He calms me and reminds me of the vision He placed in my heart. He is so patient with me even as He ignites the fire of drive in me to finish the work He has given me.

For all these and more I am so grateful to God! Thank You for Your love and faithfulness. Thank You for being reliable and trustworthy. Thank You for Your discipline and Your surprises. Thank You for every single person You allowed me to touch. Thank You for Your wisdom and understanding. Thank You for Your provision and gifts. Thank You for carving out my path. I am truly grateful to You! I do not know what tomorrow will bring, but I know You (even though I am constantly learning more and more of You which makes me realize that I don’t know much) and that for me is more than enough! You are my wealth!
